The owner of the Island Estate, Sir William Van Horne, was a gifted painter and, prior to World War I, the owner of Canada's largest private art collection. Take a unique journey into the man and his times thru the World Premiere of the Van Horne Art Exhibit titled "From the Last Spike to Art Connoisseur: A Journey with Sir William Cornelius Van Horne". The Curator of Canada's largest railroad museum, Exporail, has carefully chosen a selection of Van Horne's paintings, added banners to explain their history and meaning, and created this one-of-a-kind art exhibit which will be shown first on Ministers Island.
